OBSTETRICS & MATERNITY

Dr Matt Thyer has introduced a packaged Maternity Care Service to broaden your care holistically and support key aspects of your health during pregnancy and post delivery. Accomplished, experienced and qualified practitioners have been selected to provide this service with quality and substance.

Packaged Maternity Care patients receive options for support with Specialist Breast-Feeding and Womens Physiotherapy Services during pregnancy and up to 6 months following delivery. A Specialist Mental Health Nurse and Midwife are available during pregnancy and up to 6 weeks post delivery with a nominal fee following this. Providing these services “in-house” enables significant cost savings to you, avoiding the additional costs of outsourcing, and helps Dr Matt keep in touch with your preparation for birth and recovery afterwards. 

Although the schedule of fees is different between the options below, your out-of-pocket cost is the same. Even where your preference is to “just see Dr Matt”, Packaged Maternity Care options are on offer in the case you need them, and Dr Matt will continue to provide Specialist Obstetric care at the same high level of quality and commitment.

Following delivery, Packaged Care patients who are struggling with a weakened pelvic floor or urinary continence concerns, despite routine pelvic floor rehabilitation, have access to heavily subsidised Emsella therapy (High-Intensity-Focussed-Electro-Magnetic therapy; HIFEM) on site for up to 6 months following delivery.

Option 1: Specialist Obstetrician (Dr Matt Thyer) + Maternity Care Package 

FEES ARE CAPPED and paid in two $1450 instalments at 18-24 weeks and 28-34 weeks; total $2900

Womens Physiotherapy, Midwifery, Specialist Lactation & Specialist Mental Health Care are fully covered and where appropriate billing is rebated/scheduled through Medicare to ensure no further out-of-pocket costs

All Specialist Obstetric fees and services are charged as “No Out-Of-Pocket” where billing is rebated/scheduled through Medicare including appointments, the Management fee, and in-hospital services including delivery.

Emsella (HIFEM) therapy is heavily subsidised for patients struggling with continence and pelvic floor laxity following delivery

As a guide, total out-of-pocket expense approx $2900 (calculated based on current Medicare Rebates (2024) and average 8 antenatal visits); this schedule of fees is uncapped depending on your personal pregnancy requirements and visit frequency

EMSELLA (High-Intensity-Focussed-Electro-Magnetic) Therapy

Pelvic floor laxity and Urinary incontinence can be treated conservatively without surgery in combination with Gynaecologist and Womens Physiotherapist Guidance and is offered on site at attractive rates

A standard course of treatment is performed twice per week over three weeks
